Also an excellent perspective of the times when the Warden Service exuded pride and professionalism and as noted had tremendous esprit de corp. There were so many interesting characters, hair raising stories, and a cadre of living legends before things went to hell in 1999 with the officer safety issue. As so many of us who worked through that era have remarked, we had 20 years of heaven and ten final years of hell in our careers ! Great job Sylvia !
