Warden Gerry Lyster packing supplies into the Red Deer Lakes Cabin of the Cyclone District in Banff National Park. Photo taken in September, 1961, by the late Donald Warner.
My Uncle, Donald Warner, worked for the Park Service for a number of years starting in the 1950s or 60s. I only met him a handful of times and did not really know him. My Mother (his little sister) moved to the U.S. in the late 50s. I believe he spent the majority of his career in or around Banff. He was from Edmonton and never married. My Mother passed away 15 years ago and I think my Uncle also died around that time.
I welcome any information regarding my Uncle and his time with the Park Service.
