For those who knew Doug Anions; sorry to tell you he passed away from a fall and head injury. This is a note from Marilyn about a celebration of life.
Please pass onwards to family and friends that I have missed. I don’t have everyone’s email addresses.
Doug’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday July 11th. We wanted to let people know as soon as possible, if there are travel plans to arrange.
We are hoping to get the Anglican Church hall in Armstrong for the afternoon, then family and friends are welcome to come to our house afterwards.
Opportunity will be given for folks to share stories and memories about Doug. He wouldn’t want sadness but good times with family and friends.
We’ll send out more details as we get them arranged.
For traveling – the closest airport is Kelowna. It’s about 50 minutes from Armstrong.
For accommodations – there are B&Bs around and a few accommodations in the Armstrong area, but Vernon has lots of accommodations which is 20 minutes southwards. Salmon Arm is also 20 minutes northwards.
We will be happy to see you, if you are able to make it!
