Banff Town Warden, The Journals of Walter H. Peyto, edited by David W. Peyto.   This series of four books describe the day-to-day duties of David’s grandfather who served as the Banff Town Warden for many years. Warden Peyto faced a variety of challenges as the warden assigned to the town of Banff in Rocky Mountains Park and later Banff National Park over the period 1914 to 1922; 1923 to 1928; 1929 to 1934; and 1935 to 1941.  Brief biographies can be found at the end of the book describing several of the people whose names appear in journal entries.
