Researched, written and compiled by Ann Dixon and illustrated by Ann’s daughter Peggy Dixon-McRae.  A collection of personal accounts of the wives of National Park Wardens to learned  how to cope with isolation and hardships of travelling and living in the back-country of Canada’s national parks.  These were pioneer women who lived the life of the ‘silent partner’ to their park warden husbands.
