From Government Cowboys to Rocky Mountain Rangers

We’ve been performing as The Wardens for almost 10 years, our music and storytelling have reached so many corners of North America – what a ride it’s been. And the ride continues with something new and exciting: one of our songs has been adapted into a children’s book that takes kids on patrol with us!

‘Rocky Mountain Rangers: Guardians of the Wild’ is the name of the children’s book and is illustrated by award-winning artist Lia Golemba. About a year ago Lia and Red Barn Books founder Ayesha Clough called us up and asked us if they could adapt our songs into books. We were excited by the idea right away and even more excited when Ayesha and Lia “got us”, rolled up their sleeves and and worked hard to create a book that reflects and respects our work…and will make for darn good bedtime reading. The illustrations are also based on photos that many of you have seen during our shows. Check out the video at the link below for a glimpse into the making of those incredible illustrations.

We’d like to invite you to pick up ‘Rocky Mountain Rangers: Guardians of the Wild’ from Red Barn Books’ Kickstarter campaign. The book can be ordered with a pledge of $20 or more. It will be printed in June and mailed in July.
